Soooo… I have really not been so with it this Fall, I’ve been doing some fun things, working hard at the bookstore, enjoying my family (grandkids included) having a family reunion, and volunteering at Millsap Farm. But I’m wanting to get back to some fun things we used to do during the book sales.
First, Book Sale Details
The October Book Warehouse Public Sales are:
- Friday, the 17th
- Saturday, the 18th
- Monday the 20th
We’re open from 9am to 5pm each of those day. By the way, on Saturdays, and Mondays, you may be able to come in earlier if you Message me on Facebook, or Text me. Just make sure you get a confirmation from me. I’m often in the bookstore very early.
Second, I’d like to tell you about our giveaway!
My friend, Danell, has created a business (The Artful Ladybug) and she is making some adorable earrings and some really pretty earrings. As we were chatting, I asked her if she’d be willing to make some for me to buy for a giveaway. I used to do giveaways for every Public Book Sale we had, but I haven’t done that so much this year.
I thought this would be a great time for me to restart a really good thing.
These are the earrings my friend made for me to give away.
I just love them! I asked her to create them with two books in mind. One was a book with Edgar Allen’s poem, The Raven (so haunting). The other is a book by Elizabeth Kostova, The Historian.
I am giving away a book with a pair of earrings as a set. To enter you’ll need to go onto Swell Swap Book’s Facebook or Instagram account.
Lastly, I’m planning to be open 6pm to 8pm October 31st
If I can get my “all together” all together, I’m planning on having candy, apple cidar and hot chocolate, stay tuned for the details. We’ll also let kids pick out a free book. Come and see us!
Last month I didn’t make a post on the website, I neglected to send out “The Scoop” newsletter, and I didn’t get the information out very well. I’m sorry for that.
I’m doing better this time.
I hope you are all doing well, we appreciate you so much. If there are things you’ve kind of let go on, if they are important, I hope you can restart them too. If they aren’t important, maybe let them go and get some rest. 🙂
