About Us (How we got here.)
Goodness, this all started with just my husband (Jim) buying and trading books online to help us pay for medical bills (and maybe save up to be able to afford a house.) He likes to say that his inspiration was being able to afford a home with more than one toilet.
That was about in 2016, I believe. We do have more than one toilet now.
And we have a home that is a blessing to our family, a warehouse to buy, sort and ship books out of, and is still big enough for us to house a local warehouse bookstore.
Our local bookstore started out as a weekend liquidation sale once a month. That was back in 2019. Lots of memories. It’s morphed into a warehouse bookstore with a garage sale vibe. We don’t always know if we have what your looking for, but we can almost count on having something that you’ll be glad you found!
It really is like a treasure hunt here, and the prices are really hard to beat. We’re hibernating this winter and won’t be opening up again until the Spring of 2023. To keep posted with updates sign up for our newsletter The Inside Scoop.
We love running our bookstore and we’re so grateful to God and to our customers for bringing us through 2020 to 2021. We’ve been through some hard bits (some of our own making,) we were thankful really start building up the store again as we went into 2022 and 2023.
2023 saw us buying more books than we has since we first opened the store 4 years ago; we even had some Box of Books sales because we’ve had so many books. Looking forward to what 2024 brings, with hopes to be able to continue to serve families and do some fun projects that we’ve wanted to get to for a couple of years.
Come see us and come take an armload of books home with you to read!
