Ahhh… I let it get away from me again! 😀
It’s just days away from our book sale and I’m only just now posting about it, but I’m really excited about it because we’re making really great progress on our little play area. Books will still be just a dollar each!
New play area in Swell Swap Warehouse Bookstore
We have created an area for most particlularly for toddlers to play while their parents shop (and keep one eye on them). Older ages are invited to enjoy the area if they give priority to the little ones and play nicely with them.
We hope that this area will be a blessing to our Book Club Members when they come to shop throughout the month and also during our Public Book Sales each month. We hope to have it completed by this sale (and it’s looking like it’s going to happen), and we’ll continue to add to and adjust things in the area as needed.
Do we have any new-to-us books?
Yes, we’ve received and added more used and new books to our shelves this month. We’re always getting more books (between what we purchase and what people swap or donate).
We still don’t have lots of adult books, but that’s something we hope to work on in the future. What we do have is thousands and thousands of Children’s Books up through Young Adult books! We are a great resource for bulding up your children’s personal libraries and nurturing their love of reading.
By the way, while we do toss books on occasion based on content (the coloring book celebrating serial murderers for example) we don’t really know for sure the content of all the books on our shelves. We expect adults to use descretion and parents to oversee what their kids are choosing and taking home to read. We do so with our kids.
Book Sale Dates are April 19th and 20th
Those are Friday and Saturday April 19th and April 20th, from 9am to 5pm each day! We are looking forward to opening our doors and seeing lots of books go to homes where they will be loved.
By the way, if you want to have access to the bookstore Monday through Saturdays all month long between 9am to 5pm, you might think about becoming a Book Club Member. The price works out to be about the same as the Public Book Sales but it gives you more flexibility on when to shop and there are never crowds during the week.
Whichever way you choose to shop, we appreciate you being a part of our community and we’re glad we can serve you!
